Terms of use for gyybe.com
About these terms
These terms apply to the website gyybe.com, run by Gyybe, Atakum, Samsun, Turkey ("we"). By using the website or joining the waiting list you accept them.
The Gyybe app is a separate service with its own terms, which you accept when you create an account.
Forecasts are information, not advice
Wind and weather forecasts on this website come from public weather models and are shown as they are. They can be wrong, late or incomplete, and conditions at a spot can change quickly.
Wind and water sports are dangerous. Always check the conditions on site, know your limits, follow local rules and use your own judgment. Nothing on this website tells you that it is safe to go out.
Spot information and the number of riders planning to be at a spot are indicative only.
The waiting list
App accounts open in small batches. Joining the waiting list is free. It does not guarantee you an account or say when you will get one; we send invitations in the order and at the pace we choose.
Sign up only with your own email address. We may remove entries that look automated, abusive or not genuine.
You can leave at any time by writing to [email protected]. How we handle your address is explained in the Privacy notice.
Using the website
Do not attack, overload or try to break the website or the services behind it, and do not use automated tools to collect its content in bulk.
Content and credits
The Gyybe name, logo, design and texts belong to us. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), with tiles by OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles. Forecasts are based on data from NOAA (GFS) and Météo-France (AROME).
Liability
We provide the website free of charge and as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from using the website or relying on its forecasts.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may change the website and these terms. The date above shows the current version. Changes that affect people on the waiting list are announced to them by email.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by [governing law], and disputes are settled by [courts]. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, or your right to turn to your local courts or consumer bodies.
